Planet Me initiative
In August 2007, we launched our Planet Me initiative to fight climate change. One of our stakeholders’ prime concerns is our environmental impact, especially our CO2 footprint. We also believe climate change is leading to government action that will mean we need do even more in the future to manage emissions from our ground and air fleet.
Our customers are also demanding CO2 transparency in their value chains. If we are unable to demonstrate adequate emissions management, combined with business growth, our future operations and our financial position could be at risk.
Planet Me fuels opportunities in innovation and efficiency, and is an integral approach to:
- manage our carbon footprint
- reduce CO2 in our operations, and
- engage 161,500 employees and their families in reducing CO2 at home.
