A traineeship at TNT

Internships

TNT Global Experience Programme 2008

The TNT Global Experience Programme (TNT GEP) offers a unique opportunity to work in the world’s largest humanitarian agency – World Food Programme (WFP) – and to help those less fortunate to have a better chance in life. Launched in 2005, TNT GEP is a close collaboration between the United Nations World Food Programme, TNT - the global provider for reliable mail and express networks - and AIESEC - the world’s largest international student association.

In September 2008 three pairs of students enrolled in Dutch universities will start a six month internship in Africa. They will have a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of countries and their people. Participation in TNT GEP will provide them with an insight into corporate social responsibility programmes and public- private partnerships. Are you ready to take on this challenge?

How far will you go? Apply now! Go to www.gep2008.org and fill out the application form by 19 May 2008.

TNT Interns Club

A traineeship or final project is by far the best way of getting to know TNT. We offer opportunities in various fields at TNT. A basic principle is that the results of your research must be useful to the company. That is why we will define the project together with you and tailor it to fit the organisation's needs. Your manager will supervise you during your final project.

During the selection procedure, we look beyond just your suitability for the project. We regard a successful final project as a solid basis for a career plan.

The selection procedure is:

  1. (Dutch only) Application via the website
  2. CV selection.
  3. Selection interview with one of our recruiters.
  4. Selection interview with a line manager.
  5. If the interview with the line manager is a success and your college or university approves the project, the Graduate Recruitment department of TNT will prepare a contract.

As the end of your traineeship or project approaches, one of our recruiters will make an appointment with you for an evaluation interview at which we will discuss any opportunities for a career with TNT.

TNT also offers international opportunities.

TIC

Logo TicThe TNT Interns Club (TIC) was established specifically for people on work experience placements. The club adds an extra dimension to your traineeship at TNT! It's organised by interns for interns.

TIC members organise informal drinks, company visits (including an evening working a shift at one of our sorting centres) and other activities, with support from Graduate Recruitment and Young TNT.

The programme includes a visit to the Air Hub in Liège, Belgium, and meetings with members of the TNT Board of Management. Every first Thursday of the month members get together for drinks and a meal at different locations.

These activities promote contacts between interns and between interns and TNT staff. It gives you an opportunity to experience day-to-day work at your department and to obtain knowledge of numerous different facets of our organisation.
