09:30 hrs
After a short but good night’s sleep, everybody gradually wakes up to prepare for the real challenge. The group sets off excitedly to the Head Office of TNT Post, where the 24-hour journey through the world of TNT will start.
12:00 hrsTNT's Director of Human Resources taps the big clock to signal the start of the 24 Hours and launches into a gripping and interactive story. The students are then challenged to work in groups on producing a case about the opportunities that digitalisation could hold for TNT.
15:30 hrsTrays of energy drinks and boxes of dextrose tablets are loaded on to the bus, because the stage is set for an endurance test. Now is the time to really get to know TNT. Young TNT employees join the select company and board the bus for a destination still unknown.
17:30 hrsLater than expected a TNT logo finally appears on the horizon. The group is about to visit the Road Hub of TNT Express at Duiven. This hub ensures that all goods entrusted to TNT are delivered on time and undamaged to the right place. A presentation and guided tour give the participants a chance to see the process at first hand. Numerous lorries and forklifts drive in and out to drop of goods from a large part of Western Europe for automatic sorting. Later they set off again for their destinations on schedule with a full load.
18:30 hrsImpressed by events at the Road Hub, the full bus heads for Rotterdam. Dinner at a tremendous location in the port city provides a moment of calm and an opportunity to get to know each other and the TNT employees better.
22:30 hrsWith a renewed supply of energy, the participants make their way to the next destination, the Letters Sorting Centre in Rotterdam. First, they hear a short case about the World Food Programme. During the subsequent guided tour of the sorting operations, the participants notice that the halls and machines at Letters are completely different from those at the TNT Express Road Hub. Rows of machines alongside each other sort 18 million letters in six hours.

03:00 hrs
Fatigue gradually takes its toll among the participants, so now’s the time for some real action! After standing up to their knees in postal items, they get a chance to demonstrate their personal skills in a sorting competition for teams. The teams are tested for their speed and accuracy, but above all for their teamwork, managerial skills and organisational talent.
04:00 hrsThere's no time to catch our breath, because we are soon off again, this time for the Waldorp Distribution Office at The Hague. After a presentation about Distribution, the time is ripe for some physical exercise, to get the blood circulating briskly again. This game challenges the participants to find quick solutions in as many different ways as possible. Then there’s a walk along sequence sorting machines, which have relieved human hands of the final sorting operation by sorting items according to house number and postman's walk.
09:15 hrsAfter breakfast we again find ourselves back at TNT Post Head Office at The Hague. Here the participants hear what it's like to start your career at TNT and are taken under the wing of starters from different fields of work. They have an opportunity to see in detail what a starting position at TNT looks like in the field of work of their choosing. Three hours later they arrive back at the main entrance, one by one, enthusiastic and again bubbling with refound energy, with still more new information, insights and experience.
11:50 hrsTen minutes to go before the end of the 24 hours. The clock finally gets back to "0" and the Management Development Manager opens the bottles of champagne! After an extremely intensive whirlwind journey through the world of TNT, the participants are briefly able to enjoy some well-earned rest. Everybody is tired but satisfied and makes grateful use of the hotel rooms reserved by TNT to catch up on some sleep.
17:00 hrsStill a bit sleepy, everybody assembles in the hotel lobby for the closing session of the 24 Hours of TNT. In an intimate restaurant in the centre of The Hague, the after-event discussions about the impressive journey through TNT’s world drag on into the small hours. A few hours later the tiredness appears to have disappeared completely and the group re-enters the bustling nightlife of The Hague until the following morning.
