Internships
An excellent way to get to know TNT is on an internship, which can be part of your graduation requirement. We provide internships in a number of areas of work within the company.
A “work internship” means that you become part of the day-to-day activities of the company and work with us to achieve results at the department to which you have been assigned.
In the case of a “graduation internship”, we expect to benefit from the results of the study that you carry out. The assignment is therefore decided on jointly and is coordinated with what the TNT organisation requires. During your graduation project, you will be supervised by one of our managers. Selection will involve more than just whether you are suitable to carry out the assignment; we in fact see a successful graduation project as a good basis for starting a career with TNT.
The selection procedure for a work or graduation internship is as follows:
- Application via the website
- CV selection
- Selection interview with one of our recruiters
- Selection interview with a line manager
- If the interview with the line manager goes well and the institution where you are studying approves the internship/assignment, a contract will be drawn up by our Graduate Recruitment department.
Towards the end of your internship/assignment, one of our recruiters will make an appointment with you for an evaluation interview to discuss options for a career with TNT.
TNT Interns Club (TIC)
A special TNT Interns Club (TIC) has been set up and adds an extra dimension to your time with TNT. TIC is run by interns for interns! Members organise drinks get-togethers, company visits (including an evening sorting at one of our sorting centres) and other activities, supported of course by Graduate Recruitment and Young TNT. These activities encourage contact between interns themselves and between interns and TNT-ers. In this way, you learn not just about your own department but also about many other aspects of the organisation.
