On 22 November 2006, the State of the Netherlands sold all of its shares in TNT, 27.8 million ordinary shares to Citibank and UBS and 18.2 million ordinary shares to TNT. The total sale by the State represents approximately 10.9% of TNT’s outstanding ordinary share capital reducing the holding of the State of the Netherlands in TNT to nil.
12 July 2005
On 12 July 2005, the Dutch government sold 43.3 million TNT NV ordinary shares in a placement to ABN Amro Holding NV and Citigroup Inc. The sale by the Dutch government represents about 9.4% of TNT's outstanding share capital, and reduces the holding of the State in TNT to 10%.
7 April 2005
On 7 April 2005, the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders of TPG N.V. approved the reduction of the issued capital through cancellation of the 20.7 million shares repurchased from the State of the Netherlands. With this transaction, the total number of outstanding shares has been reduced to 459,559,522, which increased the stake of the Dutch State to 19.4%.
29 September 2004
On 29 September 2004, TPG N.V. announced that the State of the Netherlands sold a total of 77.7 million ordinary shares in the outstanding share capital of TPG N.V., representing approximately 16% of the company. By the sale and transfer the State has reduced its ownership in the outstanding capital from 34.8% to 18.6%. Of the 77.7 million shares, 20.7 million ordinary shares were repurchased by TPG N.V. This transaction has been divided into two tranches of which the first took place on 4 October 2004. The transfer to the legal ownership for the second tranche of 13.1 million shares was set on 5 January 2005.
