Mumbai
Ask any Mumbai pedestrian and they will tell you the city bombards the senses, with impressions, sights and sounds seemingly coming at you from everywhere. Despite widespread poverty, abundant waste and the mother of all traffic jams, Mumbai is the financial centre of one of the world’s fastest-growing economies, as well as being the traditional home of the Indian ‘Bollywood’ movie industry. It is this massive contrast that makes Mumbai a fascinating, if not necessarily comfortable, destination.
“Mumbai, a city painted in a thousand colours”
In October of last year a group of twelve TNT employees visited this remarkable city. Each of them had, according to their colleagues, demonstrated the true ‘sure we can’ spirit in their work. Against the colourful backdrop of Mumbai, photographs of their visit were taken by celebrated Dutch photographer Anton Corbijn, who managed to capture the essence of TNT’s slogan as only he can. The images were published in TNT’s 2008 corporate brochure.
