Cooking for a good cause

11 November 2009 – TNT Post has released the third edition of “Master Chefs for Home Chefs,” a charity cookbook co-authored by 52 chefs, including El Bulli’s celebrated Ferran Adrià. For each €9.95 book sold, €8 goes to the United Nations WFP’s school feeding programme, enough to provide 40 meals for a child in Malawi. The first Dutch edition of “Topkoks voor Thuiskoks” raised about €500,000. This year, the book is available in Dutch, German, and English in selected bookshops and online stores.

The UN food agency is distributing food to about 1 million flood-affected people around Manila and the northern Luzon island.
